February 2009
February has been full of ups and downs awaiting word on our next assignment. Much to Nicci's dismay, Mike received an unaccompanied remote Squadron command in Curacao, a small island in the Netherlands Antilles, for one year. After much contemplation, Nicci decided that Utah was the best place for her and the kids to relocate. We are sad to be separated, but are looking for the good in all this chaos. Mike is excited to get a command and is looking forward to the island life. The kids are excited to see their cousins again and Lizzy is especially looking forward to Seminary, and Young Women's in English. Nicci is looking forward to SHOPPING! We will be packing out of our house the end of March, and leaving Bolivia mid- May. Mike has to report to Curacao early June. Military life is always full of surprises!

Hello. You do not know me, so I am sorry to bother you... But I notice that you know someone who will be going to Curacao for a 1-year, unaccompanied remote assignment. My husband just received a 1-year unaccompanied to Curacao as well, and I was wondering if your friend learned any information about family members "tagging along" with the spouse to Curacao for the full year.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
